Titleist

DTR stands for Distance Through Research. The set of irons was marketed to experienced golfers. Features included total perimeter weighting to contain a large hitting area and grooves that impart more spin on the ball for true flight and sharper bite while eliminating ‘flyers’. Weight is positioned towards the heel and toe for an expanded sweet spot and towards the sole to help hit the ball up higher and longer.
